The Jesmond Trust serves as patron for two Anglican Mission in England (AMiE) churches:
This means helping these churches appoint the right senior minister—by overseeing the process, consulting the church, and nominating a suitable leader who fits our doctrinal convictions.
What is a patron?
Following Anglican tradition, and in line with the constitutional documents of those churches, patron means “an external body that is responsible for the method of appointing, and, only after consultation with the church, nominating the senior minister for institution”. Patronage is exercised within the Trust’s charitable objects and doctrinal commitments and is part of its mission to advance the Christian faith through faithful, evangelical ministry.
AMiE is an Anglican network recognised by GAFCON, operating independently of the Church of England.
